These critical roles involve overseeing the medical care of patients with liver diseases, including those in need of liver transplantation. Responsibilities

  • Oversee medical care of patients with liver diseases, including those needing liver transplantation
  • Diagnose and treat liver conditions
  • Assess eligibility for liver transplantation
  • Oversee pre-transplant care
  • Oversee post-transplant care
  • Educate medical students, residents, and GI and Transplant Hepatology fellows

Compensation

  • Full-time clinical base compensation ranges from $125,000 to $750,000
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Academic appointment at the medical school
  • Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners
  • Appointment at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor will be provided, commensurate with experience, training, academic portfolio, and teaching activities

Requirements

  • BE/BC in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology
  • Proven expertise in General and Transplant Hepatology
  • Proven expertise in endoscopy
  • Excellence in clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
  • Experience in academic research and/or teaching is highly valued
  • Open to candidates at the assistant, associate, and professor of medicine levels
