Transfer Pricing Tax AssociateAs a Tax Associate in the National Transfer Pricing group, you will work closely with experienced transfer pricing staff on project and engagement management for complex, multinational clients. You will assist in all aspects of the identification and implementation of transfer pricing strategies and solutions for clients within our Grant Thornton international network of firms.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist in delivering transfer pricing projects which involve advice to clients on inter-company transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans. Client deliverables could take the form of:Tax provision for GAAP financial statementsContemporaneous documentation to avoid tax penalties under Section 6662Initial identification and benchmarking of related party transactionsDefense of transfer pricing determinationsConduct financial and economic analyses of multinational and domestic corporations, industry and market research, economic valuations, comparative financial benchmarking, and report documentationAssist in the preparation of valuation reports for closely held or publicly traded companiesMaintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform tax servicesOther duties as assignedQualifications/Skill RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related areaTax accounting skills and some knowledge of GAAPStrong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sitesMinimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skillsStrong technical aptitude and skillsetDemonstrated project management skillset including project planning and time managementAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environmentThe willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sitesAbility to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
