This role is responsible for maintaining and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts, preparing financial statements and management reports, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The position will also develop and enhance automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance. In addition, this individual will prepare regulatory reporting, respond to accounting inquiries, and serve as a key resource for management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities regarding accounting policies, procedures, and financial matters.Responsibilities:Maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions.Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts.Prepares financial statements and reports.Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures. Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities.Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experienceFour or more years of experience in financial accounting activitiesPreferred Skills/Experience:Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applicationsAdvanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulationsAdvanced knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysisAbility to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze dataCPA or CMA preferredThis role requires working from a U.S.
