Post-Settlement/Transactional Associate
Blackstone Law, APC is a rapidly growing litigation firm focused on plaintiff's side labor and employment law. We are seeking a highly experienced, sharp, and driven Transactional/Post-Settlement Attorney to join our team. This candidate would play a crucial role in overseeing the legal facets of class action settlements, ensuring that all procedures are executed efficiently and adhere to legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and revising various contracts, with a focus on complex class action settlement agreements.
- Settlement Processes: Preparing motions for court approval of class action settlements and collaborating with class action administrators to ensure proper settlement administration.
- Document Preparation: Creating and refining class action notices, claim forms, and other related documents to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Monitoring Compliance: Overseeing class action administrators to ensure they fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with court instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensure: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in the post-settlement department
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting
- Experience with class action settlements is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 commensurate with years of experience. Salary listed is total compensation, not exclusively base salary.
