Transactional ERISA Associate (1-2 years)

Our client, anationally recognized law firm is seeking a junior associate to join its Chicago-based ERISA and transactional practice.

This role offers the opportunity to advise financial institutions, lenders, and private investment funds on ERISA compliance issues arising in sophisticated financing transactions. The practice is involved in a broad range of matters, including acquisition financings, leveraged finance transactions, fund financings, bridge loans, syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, and cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on ERISA-related issues in complex financing transactions
• Analyze regulatory and compliance considerations affecting lenders, investors, and funds
• Support transactional teams across domestic and international financing matters
• Conduct legal research and draft transaction-related documentation and analyses
• Collaborate with attorneys across finance, private equity, and investment fund practices

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Class of 2024 or 2025
• Strong academic credentials
• Experience with sophisticated transactional work at a law firm
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters
• Admission to the Illinois Bar (required)

Location & Work Arrangement:

• Chicago, Illinois
• Hybrid schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary in the $225,000-$235,000 range, commensurate with experience
