We are currently looking for an ambitious Clinical Educator, contractor, to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies. We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe the combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated devices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better access to care.
As a Clinical Educator, you will be responsible for training healthcare professionals on the proper use and best practices of a new medical device.
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
- Bachelor's degree, a registered nurse or a radiology technician a plus, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in education/sales/service/engineering/rad tech/ OR technician/etc. with neurointerventional device sales experience a plus OR Advanced Degree, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in education/sales/service/engineering, experience a plus
- Demonstrated experience in device training during clinical trials in the US and OUS.
- Experience in training clinicians, technicians, clinical field specialists, or sales professionals
- Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position
- Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements
- Excellent customer service and/or education skills
- Proven ability to build/maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills; specifically, the ability to create educational content
Preferred skills to have for the success of this role:
- Degree in biomedical engineering, nursing, radiology technologist, or similar
- Neurointerventional device sales experience a plus
- Robotic experience a plus
- Experience in interventional neurology, neurological surgery, hemodynamic monitoring technology
- Knowledge and understanding of neurovascular science
- Thorough working knowledge of neuro medical terminology and the medical device industry
- Ability to coordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects in a fast paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines
- Moderate understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reporting
The successful candidate will preferably have experience in marketing new technologies and therapies; preferably systems that involve capital and disposable surgical/interventional equipment
Additional Job Requirements:
- Frequent required travel to customer sites, hospitals, and offsite meetings.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly required to be independently mobile
- Ability to travel outside of the US for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to travel with overnight stay up to 25-50% of the time (geography variability)
- Occasional handling of equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds, and moving items from one surface to another at approximately the same level, and from ground level to table height
- Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day
- Environmental exposures include infectious disease, radiation, and blood and bodily fluids
- Ability to wear 5-7 lbs lead apron for extended periods of time
