Base pay range

$95,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Position Overview:
The Traffic Engineer will support the design and analysis of transportation projects with a focus on traffic engineering solutions. The position involves hands-on design work, data analysis, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality traffic engineering services for a range of public infrastructure projects.
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct analysis for traffic studies such as signal warrant analyses, traffic impact studies, and corridor safety assessments.
Assist in the preparation of traffic control device designs including traffic signals, signage and pavement markings.
Prepare design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, signing, striping, and temporary traffic control.
Support senior engineers in preparing technical memos, reports, and exhibits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Proficiency with traffic engineering design and analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
General knowledge of the MUTCD and other applicable engineering standards
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
