Traffic EngineerGAI Consultants has a career-building opportunity for a Traffic Engineer within our Transportation and Infrastructure Unit's traffic design group. GAI is an established and growing multi-discipline engineering firm with tremendous growth opportunities. This position can be based out of multiple office locations and has the opportunity for a sign-on Bonus.ResponsibilitiesDesign of traffic engineering elements including traffic signals, roadway lighting, signage and pavement markings, ITS infrastructure, and work zone traffic control.Traffic analysis and modeling utilizing various software tools such as Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Synchro, Sidra, and PTV software tools (Vissim/Vistro/Visum).Safety data collection and analysis including crash data review, crash rate calculations, and Highway Safety Manual (HSM) analysis.Development related traffic impact analysisPreparation of Transportation Management Plans for major roadway improvement projectsPreparation of traffic related technical documents and reportsRelated field work and site visitsGeneral CharacteristicsApplies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.Applies teamwork skills to effectively plan, execute, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet project stakeholder needs.Minimum Years of Experience4+ Years of ExperienceEducationB.S.
