Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid) Duration: 12 Months +. We are actively pursuing a qualified Trading Systems Technology Lead to support our growing Separately Managed Account (SMA) and other trading business groups in the utilization of technology and data solutions to drive business and revenue growth, ensure trading regulatory compliance and implement efficiencies. Extensive contact with all management levels and all other internal customers is required to identify research, analyze, prioritize and resolve complex information technology issues within the trade life cycle of various security products.
This specific position requires strong technical skills, business trading acumen and understanding of order generation/order management techniques, trading execution flows, trading venues, security product characteristics, trade lifecycle, and has the ability to understand advisor/institutional trading needs. The position requires the capability to perform high level analysis, prioritization and technical documentation of requirements of trading needs. This individual will construct technical roadmaps, oversee development, build consensus, document and help drive new trading technical processes.Document and drive implementation and integration of trading technology solutions to ensure they meet the business and regulatory needsUnderstand and apply enterprise wide thinking to individual departmental requests for IT investments to ensure end-to-end process and data integration are achievedIntroduce new technologies and approaches to solving business problems across the trade life cycleEvolving a future state trading systems architecture that supports business priorities and objectives while being flexible so it can accommodate rapidly changing business requirements, evolving customer expectations, and technology evolutionPreparing and presenting potential technical solutions and advising the business on the technical and business value of the propositionKeeping up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environmentRequired Skills:Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related disciplineFinancial services industry experience specifically with trading systems15+ years of IT experience with expertise in Portfolio Accounting and Order Management SystemsExperience with Direct Indexing and Separately Managed AccountsDeep understanding of the trading lifecycle from order generation to execution for various security products and how to integrate trading components seamlessly into the trade lifecycleSkilled in Vendor Management, Project Management, Software Implementation, and Application DevelopmentAbility to manage multiple concurrent overlapping projects in a fast paced environmentBroad knowledge of Agile project methodology (SAFe) and ITIL best practicesExperience with Cloud computing concepts (private, public and hybrid) a plus
