A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Trademark Prosecution Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their intellectual property practice in Madison, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative environment, handling a diverse portfolio of trademark matters.
Duties
- Manage U.S. and international trademark prosecution from clearance through registration.
- Conduct and analyze trademark searches and provide risk assessments.
- Draft and respond to Office Actions before the USPTO.
- Advise clients on trademark strategy, portfolio management, and enforcement.
- Coordinate with foreign associates on international filings and prosecution.
- Assist with trademark due diligence in corporate transactions.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of trademark prosecution experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with TTAB proceedings is a plus.
- Patent prosecution experience is a plus, but not required.
- New Jersey bar admission required.
- New York bar admission preferred.
- Part‑time candidates will be considered.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
