A nationally recognized intellectual property firm is seeking a Trademark Associate to join its Trademark & Copyright practice. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys looking to work alongside nationally ranked IP practitioners on sophisticated trademark and copyright matters for leading global brands across a wide range of industries.

The role offers significant exposure to trademark counseling, clearance, prosecution, enforcement, copyright matters, licensing, advertising, and brand protection strategies. Associates will serve as trusted advisors to clients while working in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on U.S. and international trademark matters
• Conduct trademark clearance reviews and provide risk assessments
• Prepare and prosecute trademark applications before the USPTO and foreign trademark offices
• Draft and respond to substantive USPTO Office Actions
• Handle trademark enforcement matters, including cease and desist letters
• Manage domain name disputes, UDRP proceedings, and TTAB actions
• Advise clients on trademark usage, brand protection, and social media related issues
• Support copyright counseling, registration, and enforcement matters
• Collaborate with clients and attorneys on licensing, advertising, and intellectual property strategies

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution experience
• Experience reviewing trademark clearance searches and preparing Office Action responses
• Experience handling trademark enforcement matters, including cease and desist letters, UDRP proceedings, and TTAB actions
• Working knowledge of copyright law required
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials required
• Active bar admission and good standing required

Compensation

$225,000–$260,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications), plus bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
