Tour Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Tour Associate (or Senior/Manager {DOE}) to join an innovative team! Work alongside an amazing team supporting music artists in the entertainment industry.

Duties:
Manage tour cash flow, including show settlements, vendor payments, per diem distribution, and on-the-road purchasing, ensuring accuracy of guarantees, bonuses, and percentage deals.
Support tax and royalty reporting by classifying tour-related revenue streams and expenses.
Work directly alongside the business management team and music artists.
Track and reconcile all tour income and expenses, including merch tracking, delivering show-by-show financials.
Develop and maintain detailed tour budgets, monitor actuals vs budget, and recommend cost-control actions to protect client profitability.
Prepare and maintain show-by-show accounting (P&Ls, expense logs, receipts) for integration into business management systems.
Occasionally serve as the primary point of contact for venues and promoters.
Consolidate and deliver complete tour packages (settlements, invoices, receipts, payroll/per diems, budgets, merch reports).
Support and produce post-tour financial and operational reports (i.e., budgets vs actuals)
Participate in post-tour debriefs to refine routing strategies, vendor selection, and budget assumptions for future tours.
Requirements

Strong accounting aptitude and proficiency with Excel and accounting systems
2-3+ years of tour accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
Knowledge of general ledger accounting, tour account reconciliations, financial statement review, tour budgets, and projections
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with professional phone etiquette
Demonstrated organizational skills for managing multiple accounts and follow-up tasks efficiently
