Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Fellowship Trained Total Joint Surgeon to join their premier Orthopedics & Sports Medicine group. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large, growing not-for-profit health system dedicated to health and healing. New fellows are encouraged to apply and will benefit from extensive support from APPs.
Practice Info
- Join a premier group practice with 21 regionally recognized orthopedic physicians.
- Associated with Sanford Hospital & USD Medical Center.
- Extensive support from APP's (PA's/NP).
- The group is located in a state-of-the-art orthopedic facility which houses orthopedic and sports medicine, podiatric, neurology, neurosurgery, and physical medicine and rehab physicians.
- The Van Demark building also houses durable medical equipment, radiology, and therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the Trauma call rotation.
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care.
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures for patients of all ages.

Shift & Schedule
- Participate in the Trauma call rotation.
Requirements
- H-1B visa sponsorship available.
- BE/BC Fellowship Trained Total Joint Surgeon.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated orthopedic surgical residency program or a clinical Fellowship of at least five years' duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency.
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- For those applicants that are not board certified at the time of application, but who have completed their residency training within the last five years; must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
- Ability to demonstrate at least 200 orthopedic surgery procedures in the last 24 months (for applicants not directly out of residency).
