Valley Baptist Physician Network is seeking a fellowship-trained Total Joint Surgeon to join an established, multi-specialty group at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. This high-impact opportunity involves expanding the orthopedic program within a 586-bed Level II Trauma Center, utilizing advanced surgical technology. The role offers a chance to shape orthopedic care in a fast-growing region with a dedicated Ortho/Trauma floor and on-site support.

Practice Info

  • Join an established, multi-specialty group
  • Operate within a 586-bed Level II Trauma Center
  • Equipped with da Vinci robotic systems, Brainlab computer navigation, and AIRO mobile intraoperative CT
  • Dedicated Ortho/Trauma floor at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen
  • Ortho Trauma provider on staff, providing VBMC coverage
  • Office located in the Medical Office Building with walking-distance access to the hospital OR

Compensation

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary with productivity bonuses

Shift & Schedule

  • Flexible schedule: 2-3 days per week split between clinic and OR block time
  • Clinic hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • 70/30 inpatient/outpatient case mix
  • Estimated 3-5 call days per month, inclusive of general ortho call

Requirements

  • MD, DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Hip & Joint reconstruction preferred; extensive clinical experience considered
  • Trauma Certification a plus
  • J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship available
