Job PurposeThis position will perform preventative maintenance on molds per production requirements. Repair molds and manufacture spare or replacement parts with minimal supervision. Machining and welding of parts for projects.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with engineering staff or alone to repair molds as needed.
Use TIG welder where needed to fix damaged areas. Troubleshoot and rebuild hot runner systems when necessary. Gain knowledge on determining what can and cannot be a quick fix.
Work as a team with and for Production as support.Make parts for molds or other projects as needed. Work from blueprints when available.Tear down, inspect, clean, and lubricate moldsInspect all springs, pins, slides etc. for wear or damage on molds.
