Potential salary range for this role is $80,00-$115,000 salary wage. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.ResponsibilitiesLead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of injection molds, fixtures, EOAT, and production tooling.Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to maximize tooling uptime and performance.Support root cause investigations related to tooling, quality, and production issues.Maintain tooling records, PM schedules, and repair history.Leadership & CoordinationSupervise daily activities of Tool Room personnel.Prioritize work requests to support production, validation, and customer requirements.Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and EHS departments.Provide technical training and mentorship to toolmakers and apprentices.Machining & FabricationOperate and oversee CNC mills, EDM equipment, surface grinders, lathes, and manual machining equipment.Manufacture and modify mold components, fixtures, and tooling as required.Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.Continuous ImprovementDrive tooling reliability improvements and cost reduction initiatives.Support implementation of tooling asset management systems.Participating in capital equipment and tooling development projects.Identify opportunities to expand internal tooling capabilities and reduce external vendor dependence.Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.Maintain clean, organized, and efficient tool room operations.Support 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications PreferredHigh school diploma or equivalent.Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience.10+ years of injection mold tooling experience.Strong experience with mold repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.Experience with CNC machining, EDM, grinding, and precision measurement equipment.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsSupervisory or team leadership experience.Medical device manufacturing experience.Experience with hot runner systems and automation tooling.CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred).Experience with tooling asset management systems.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work around manufacturing equipment.Ability to safely handle mold components and tooling equipment.
