Tooling And Automation EngineerResponsible for design assembly processes for products. Perform the research and implement new technologies necessary to tackle complex assembly and automation problems that have direct impact to the quality and production of products. Ensure production's stability and efficiency.Job Functions:Responsible for design, verification, and installation of tooling and fixxtures based upon project progress, timeline, and budget; ensure newly-developed tooling associated with specific project to be effectiveResponsible for all tooling/fixture related work instruction drafting, revision, update, and records keepingProvide direction and mentorship to third party machine/automation suppliers and/or CM's; be the technical leader and driver on owned projects; serve as a technical resource to other engineering groups and project leadersOrganize cross-functional reviews of the machine requirements, design, qualification and capabilityTravel to the machine supplier and contract manufacturer for equipment bring-up, qualification, acceptance testing and support during build eventsResponsible for research and development of new automated cell based on current manufacturing process standards to fulfill the needs of increasing production efficiency, reducing quality issues, and reasonably minimizing cost;Coordination between third party machine/automation suppliers and internal installation/integration team through planning, installation and integration of new automated cell.Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency.
