Tool MakerDirect hire opportunity for a Tool Maker. As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools and dies used in the manufacturing process for molded plastics. Your extensive experience gained through a U.S.

Department of Labor-approved four-year apprenticeship in the tool and die field will be instrumental in ensuring equipment functions at its best.Overview of Job RoleFabricate, repair, and maintain precision tools, molds, dies, and fixtures.Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for problem moldsSet up and operates tool room equipment using very close tolerances.Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate tooling.Inspect and measure tooling components to ensure they meet strict quality standards.Diagnose and resolve issues with existing tooling to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.Work closely with engineers and production teams to provide technical support and recommendations for tooling improvements.QualificationsCompletion of a four-year apprenticeship program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training in the tool and die field.3+ years of proven experience as a Tool Maker with a strong background in precision tool and die work including injection molding knowledgeProficiency in using machining equipment and precision measuring instruments.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
