Tool DeveloperNew York City AreaKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Privacy Testing Project Leader (and others) to integrate privacy and security testing techniques into new and existing workflows.Develops and maintains tools and pipelines for automating testing processes and investigatory techniques.Contributes to projects to improve its continuity with our test methodology and workflows, and to improve its effectiveness as a rigorous community-based tool.Researches and experiments with opportunities to use machine learning for privacy policy analysis and its applicability to continuous privacy and security testing for connected products.Develops tools that can aid in investigations and be used as prototypes for potential member products.Helps team members author reports and present findings, issues and concepts to staff to provide clear evidence of analysis and provide feedback for improving methodology and tools.Performs other duties as assigned but not at a higher level.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent background with 2 yrs. experience with full-stack web app design, and a track record with the likes of React, nodejs, HTML, JS, SASS, AWS, Heroku, Jenkins, and moreAmple experience with scripting languages (like python, ruby, go, and node) for providing services, data analysis, automation, etc.Familiarity with version control (read: git), continuous integration, etc.Experience with data visualization languages and tools, like d3, p5, panda, ipythonnotebook, etc.Comfort in an agile environment with a humble respect for scrumExperience and comfort with G Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)Impeccable communication skills and design sensibilitiesEnthusiasm for teamwork and collaborative opportunitiesPrevious experience with legal and technical challenges in privacy and security with respect to connected devices and online platforms would be preferred.
