Inventory Management PositionGeneral Duties & FunctionsMaintains an inventory of all items using Maximo, to ensure adequate supplyChecks stock, enters replenishment requests as neededEnsures all consumables and/or products are systematically received and placed in allocated area in the Stock Room in a timely fashionAssures all items checked out of inventory are assigned to a work orderTracks items distributed to employees and maintain recordsMonitors Min / Max levels of inventory and adjust as requiredCommunicates hot items and expedites to Purchasing as requiredKeeps the Stock Room organized and clean at all timesAssists individuals using the crib software as needed / requestedNotifies supervisor of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practicesParticipates in cycle counts and inventory counts as requiredAll other duties assignedSkills/QualificationsMust possess good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsBasic working knowledge of computer software and MS officeExperience with operating fork liftAbility to operate with speed and accuracyDemonstrates team spirit, shows flexibility and positive attitude as an active team contributorDemonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentDemonstrates problem solving skills, is able to recognize and appropriately escalate issues when situations ariseAbility to successfully complete pre-hire basic skills tests and assessmentsAbility to successfully pass pre-employment background check, physical exam and drug screeningMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree from an accredited community, technical or vocational college preferredPrevious experience with CMMS system, preferably MaximoPrevious experience in inventory management or inventory control preferredLean / process improvement tools experience and/or interest in advancing knowledge in this areaPhysical Requirements and DemandsThe physical demands and work environment described below represent those required to perform the essential functions of this position.
