Tool & Die / Tool Room TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and hands-on Tool & Die / Tool Room Technician to support our manufacturing operations through fixture fabrication, tooling repair, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys machining, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Candidates with experience in injection molding, tooling, machining, fabrication, or industrial maintenance are strongly encouraged to apply.Primary ResponsibilitiesBuild, modify, and repair: fixtures, jigs, workstations, tooling, assembly equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical and tooling issues on production equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsOperate tool room equipment including CNC milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, band saws, press brakesUse precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, thread gaugesAssist with installation and setup of new or revised manufacturing equipment and processesPerform tooling changeovers, repairs, and preventative maintenance activitiesCoordinate heat treating and outside vendor tooling servicesSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesMaintain organized work areas using 5S principlesDocument tooling activity and maintain inventory of tool room suppliesPreferred ExperienceInjection moldingPlastic moldsMetal stamping equipmentPrototype fabricationTIG welding and spot weldingPneumatic and mechanical assemblyIndustrial manufacturing environmentsTool and die makingLean manufacturing / continuous improvementQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDTool & Die Maker Certification or equivalent experienceAbility to safely operate tool room equipment and machineryStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsBasic computer and data entry skillsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing environmentPreferredCNC machining experienceInjection molding experienceExperience supporting automated assembly equipmentLeadership or mentoring experience in a manufacturing settingWhat Makes You SuccessfulDetail-oriented and quality-focusedMechanically inclined and hands-onA strong problem solverAble to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working independently and with cross-functional teamsSafety-conscious with a positive attitudeDependable with strong attendance and communication skillsWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and moving equipmentStanding, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shiftOvertime may be required based on production needsWhy Join Us?Stable manufacturing environmentOpportunity to work on custom tooling and innovative production equipmentCollaborative team cultureGrowth and development opportunitiesHands-on technical work with variety every day
