This includes CAM programming for multi axis machining centers and EDM machines.
Maintain quality standards and schedules Understand and follow instructions and standard procedures Interface with Engineering, Department Supervisors and Quality Control inspectors Coworkers, and Senior Management Adhere to WI's, QSR, ISO, SOPs, work, and safety rules. Machining custom components as needed. This job function directly indirectly affects product qualityPrimary Responsibilities:Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.Develops CAM programs for complex parts.Develops CAM programs to run consumable spare parts and production components in a lights out environment to continually improve equipment utilization in the shopPrograms as required, Mills, Lathes, EDMs and Grinders by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:5 years' experience (10+ years preferred) operating CNC milling equipment independently in a fast-paced production environment.Experience with Tooling and adjusting Speeds and FeedsExperience developing machining strategy and selecting tooling and workholding solutions, as well as programming and setting up CNC milling equipment.Experience with 3d CAM systems, i.e.
Fusion 360, Esprit, Camtool, Mastercam, Feature Cam.Perform basic arithmetic computations (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)Knowledge of GMPAbility to hold tight tolerances.Strong understanding in blue print reading/ geometric tolerance interpretationBasic understanding of machine guardingWorking knowledge of WIs, ISO, SOPs, work rules, and safety guidelinesAbility to read, write and speak EnglishFollow all established health and safety policies.Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work overtime if needed.Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential.Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments.
