Tool And Die MachinistThe tool and die machinist repairs, and maintains small dies, fixtures, and all other tooling in conformance to customer and/or company specifications per control plans. Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools. Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
The tool and die machinist will report to the Maintenance Manager.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience as a machinist working with small stamping dies, machining tools and equipment components.Extensive experience with metal working tools including drills, milling machines, grinders and lathesPreferred knowledge of troubleshooting in die operation and die assemblyExperience in welding is a plusPreferred metallurgic knowledge understanding the properties of metalsKnowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out proceduresAble to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.Able to work with little supervisionSolid knowledge of trigonometry and shop mathProficient in Word and ExcelMust be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locationsPossess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshootingAble to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphicsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliersAbility to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environmentSite Address: 615 W Carson St Bryan, Tx 77803
