Core duties include:working with the Finance Director to develop and maintain a campaign budget and fundraising planworking with the Organizing Director to design and execute an effective organizing plan that combines traditional field outreach methods with more recent innovations in digital and relational organizingbuilding a communications team to integrate paid media, earned media, and in-house digital communications to deliver consistent, impactful messagingdeveloping and maintaining relationships with local, state, and national partnersmonitoring polling, opposition research, and district dynamics to inform strategyhiring, supervising, and mentoring staff to ensure quality, timely work as they develop their own professional skillsmanaging the daily operations of the campaign team to ensure we use our time and resources on the work that matters mostRequired Qualificationsa resourceful, agile, and disciplined attitude for strategic planningexcellent written, oral, and visual communication skillssound data management skillsan eagle eye for detail and efficient workflowsfluency with some of our core tech tools (GSuite, NGP, Votebuilder, etc.) and eagerness to learn moreability to work long hours and meet tight deadlinespassion and patience for motivating and supporting staff and volunteersa sincere commitment to service and community engagementDesired Qualifications1 or more cycles in a campaign manager or deputy campaign manager role in a race with a similar scope and budget, though we welcome applicants with transferable skills from other career pathsexperience working in Virginia politics and/or swing districtsLocation and ScheduleStart date is flexible. We aim to have a new hire engaging at least part-time remotely in January and in-district, full-time by February 2025.CompensationMinimum salary of $8,000 per month.
