Project ManagerThe Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the full lifecycle execution of instrumentation and electrical (I&E) projects within petrochemical, refining, and industrial facilities. This role oversees multiple projects and field teams, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.The PM serves as the primary leader responsible for field execution, labor productivity, cost control, and client coordination across all assigned projects.ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Project Execution & LeadershipLead day-to-day execution of multiple I&E projects, including greenfield, brownfield, and turnaround workDirectly manage Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to drive safe and efficient executionOwn project schedule, productivity, and cost performance from kickoff through closeoutIdentify and mitigate risks related to working in active/operating facilitiesTechnical Oversight (I&E Specific)Oversee installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systemsManage electrical scope including: Low and medium voltage systems, MCCs, VFDs, cable tray, and power distributionEnsure proper execution of: Loop checks, point-to-point verification, and system startupsInterface with client systems including PLC & DCSEnsure compliance with hazardous area classifications and NECCommercial & Project ControlsManage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking with a focus on labor productivityDevelop and manage change orders, RFIs, and scope revisionsSupport estimating and pre-construction efforts for new and existing clientsEnsure accurate reporting of project status to Operations and executive leadershipSafety & ComplianceChampion a strong safety culture aligned with OSHA, NFPA 70/70E, and client-specific requirementsEnforce LOTO, energized work protocols, and safe work practicesLead safety meetings and ensure compliance across all field activitiesMaintain strict adherence to all company and client safety proceduresClient & Team ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teamsAct as the primary point of contact for project related communicationParticipate in client meetings, planning sessions, and progress reviewsAssist in recruiting, mentoring, and developing field personnelSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position will have some supervisory responsibilities.Other DutiesDuties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice that are job-related and consistent with business necessity.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment. Exposure to cold working conditions during winter months and hot working conditions during the summer months; exposure to noise, workers must wear protecting hearing equipment or frequently shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
In an emergency situation, exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur and the use of a respirator is required. All employees are required to be fit tested for the various respirators used as well as the ability to successfully pass a pulmonary function test (PFT).Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of the job, the position of an Analyzer Technician III may be extremely physical at times. An Analyzer Technician III will frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
