Processing TechnicianTiger Soy, LLC / Semo Milling, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Processing Technician at our facility in Mexico, MO! We are seeking team-oriented candidates with production/operator experience, and superior mechanical aptitude. This is a day shift position.
Starting pay will be $20 - $23 per hour, depending on experience.Position PurposeReporting to the Facility Superintendent, this position is responsible for functioning as a team member of the process production crew.Position Responsibilities and DutiesPerforming duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:Maximize process yield and throughput.Execute production process control as directed by the Processing Lead.Assist in machinery maintenance and repairWork with Lab personnel to ensure quality control protocol is followedMaintain production area sanitation standards at all timesTroubleshoot minor production problemsMonitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilizationUtilize the IMS and SPC where applicableResponsible for quality of work within areaMaintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashionQuality, Safety and SanitationFollow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipmentFollow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/proceduresInspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are presentCommunicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managersAt end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping dutiesComplete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirementsOpen Communications to be a team-player and do other tasks as necessary.Essential SkillsThis position actively engages in daily operations and is engaged in supporting policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Values, and Strategic Objectives.Education Level: High School Diploma or GEDRelated Experience: 2 years production experience, Superior mechanical aptitude, team orientedPhysical and Mental RequirementsThis position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position.
