Thoracic Surgeon

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Thoracic Surgeon to join their faculty at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will join a well-established and busy team, contributing to a high-volume practice with ample opportunities for translational research. This role offers a chance to be part of a nationally recognized cancer care program, ranked 36th for pulmonology and lung surgery by U.S. News & World Report.

• Annual case volume of well over 3,750
• Opportunities for translational research in collaboration with Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Monter Cancer Center, and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory

• Thoracic surgery program for lung cancer procedures has earned the highest rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) in every report since 2015

Requirements

• MD/DO
• At least 3-5 years of experience
• Thoracic-track fellowship trained
• ABS and ABTS Board Eligible or Certified
• Skilled in minimally invasive VATS and robotic surgery for both malignant and benign thoracic diseases
• Exceptional inter-personal skills
