Thoracic Medical Oncologist

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a fellowship-trained Thoracic Medical Oncologist to join its expanding oncology team at AdventHealth Orlando. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of Florida's largest and most comprehensive cancer programs, known for excellence in patient care, research, and innovation. The successful candidate will focus on thoracic malignancies within a nationally recognized program and collaborate with a dedicated team of world-class physicians and APPs.

Practice Info

• Primary focus on thoracic malignancies.
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at AdventHealth Orlando, the system's tertiary referral center.
• Access to the state-of-the-art AdventHealth Cancer Institute, a nationally recognized program.
• Collaboration with a dedicated team of world-class physicians and APPs, along with nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition services.
• Established infusion centers, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and radiation oncology available onsite.
• Extensive regional network with 7+ medical oncology sites across Central Florida for collaboration and referral support.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for thoracic malignancies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics.
• Participate in daily tumor boards.
• Participate in cutting-edge clinical trials, including Phase I research.
• Share call responsibilities among the group.
• Contribute to program development and the continued growth of a destination cancer program.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
• Fellowship training in Thoracic Oncology is strongly preferred.
• Interest in program development and contributing to the continued growth of a destination cancer program.
