I’m currently recruiting for a direct-hire Engineer III (Thermal) opportunity with a leading utility and energy organization in Indianapolis.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a background in thermal utility systems, steam generation, chilled water, industrial piping, or heavy industrial environments. The engineer will support complex projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial engineering and design through construction, startup, and commissioning.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of related engineering experience
- Experience with engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selection, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates
- Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, and risk
- Ability to collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Construction, Safety, and other technical teams
Highly Desired Experience:
- Steam generation and distribution
- Chilled water production and distribution
- Boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels
- Industrial piping and rotating equipment
- Capital projects
- Construction, startup, and commissioning
- Central utility plants or district energy
- EIT or PE credentials
