Respiratory Therapist
Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:00 - 06:30 Experience: 1 year required License: Active RRT license Certifications: BLS, RRT required Must-Have: 1 year of experience in a similar role. Experience with patient ratios of 1:12-16. Experience with charting in Epic preferred. Description: RRT position for night shifts, working three consecutive days. Patient ratios are typically 1:12-16. Requires previous charge experience and familiarity with emergency settings. Experience in Community, LTAC, and Trauma Level I and II facilities is preferred. The candidate must have certifications in BLS and RRT. Additional preferred certifications include NRP, PALS, and ACLS. Skills needed include managing Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department tasks, and various ventilation techniques. Knowledge of respiratory care management, tracheostomy care, and airway placement is essential. The role also involves troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning patients from mechanical ventilation. Experience with pediatric and neonatal patients is a plus due to unit demographics. Additional required skills include drawing arterial blood gases and performing pulmonary hygiene. Candidates should be prepared to assist with acute respiratory conditions and provide care during emergencies. Weekly schedules will include three weekend shifts as part of the four-week rotation.
