Respiratory Therapist

This position requires 40 hours per week, with 8 and/or 12-hour shifts. Evening and/or night shifts are included, with at least every other weekend and holiday required based on department needs. Candidates will float to other facilities as needed. The facility operates as a short-term acute care Level III trauma center. Staffed bed count is 252. Scrubs must be navy blue. Charting is done through EPIC. Requirements include experience in adult critical care and pediatrics. Skills needed include: - Assist in high-risk delivery - Bag and mask ventilation - Basic EKG interpretation - BiPAP and Bubble CPAP administration - Chest physiotherapy techniques - Drawing arterial blood gases - Intubation assistance - Nasal and oral airway management - Mechanical ventilation weaning - Tracheostomy care and management Candidates should be familiar with special patient populations, including neonates, infants, adolescents, and geriatrics. This position includes a commitment to patient care for a diverse patient population. References are required for application. Applicants must not be local; a local candidate is defined as someone residing within 75 miles of the facility. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with charting systems such as Epic is preferred. Modules are to be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.
