Physical Therapist
Unit Information: The facility has 281 beds. The staff includes 11 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapy Assistants, with 2 office coordinators. There are 8 Physical Therapists working PRN. All staff work the day shift. Patient ratios are 8-10 patients per 8 hours worked, with assignments of 10-13 patients. The equipment used includes walkers, crutches, braces, and wheelchairs. The documentation system is Meditech. Call requirements are to check in by 7:00 AM.
Typical Hiring Profile: Must have certifications and special skills, including BLS and a Florida License. Typical procedures performed include evaluations, treatment, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities. Additional Preferences: A quick study who can quickly learn the documentation system. Previous travel experience is preferred. Dress Code: Gray scrubs.
