• Proficient in using special equipment such as Hoyer lift and body weight supported devices

Description:This position involves providing physical therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.The physical therapist will work with patients who have experienced a range of spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders.Therapists will be required to use adaptive devices and equipment to aid in patient recovery.There is a requirement to work one weekend per month as scheduled.Candidates must have strong assessment and evaluation skills.Patient education is an essential part of the role.The physical therapist should demonstrate effective communication and time management skills.An understanding of cognitive disorders and appropriate rehabilitation strategies is necessary.Working with patients during their rehabilitation process, therapists will develop and implement individualized plans of care.The physical therapist must be familiar with gait training, mobility assistance, and pain management techniques.Safety and injury prevention measures should always be prioritized during patient interactions.Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
