Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position available. Join a collaborative rehabilitation team. Treat a diverse skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation population. Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, physicians, and families. Help residents regain independence and maximize their quality of life. Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, safety awareness, and overall independence. Accurately document treatments using electronic medical records. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and discharge planning. Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies. Maintain compliance with documentation standards. Participate in care conferences and team meetings as appropriate.
