Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

n Job Summary:n
n Responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Provides therapy to improve communication and swallowing functions, primarily in acute care and skilled nursing facilities.n

n Responsibilities:n

• n Assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities through clinical evaluation.n
• n Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnoses.n
• n Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently in radiology settings.n
• n Document patient progress utilizing Meditech electronic health records and paper records as needed.n
• n Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care.n
• n Provide training and education to patients and family members on communication and swallowing strategies.n

n Qualifications:n

• n Hold Hawaii state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.n
• n Possess BLS certification.n
• n Have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in SNF or rehabilitation hospital settings.n
• n Demonstrate proficiency in performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently.n
• n Be able to adapt quickly to various departments and float as needed.n
• n Show strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.n
