Respiratory Therapist Position
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies, primarily on a part-time basis. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver critical support and administer respiratory treatments in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Administer ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP therapies to patients.
- Perform Arterial Blood Gas sampling and analysis accurately.
- Administer medications via nebulizer and metered dose inhalers.
- Cross train in Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) studies to support department needs.
- Educate and act as a resource for team members regarding respiratory procedures.
- Follow established protocols to deliver safe, effective respiratory care.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license.
- Require BLS (AHA) certification.
- Require ACLS certification.
- Require NRP certification (highly preferred).
- Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Strong understanding of ventilator management and critical care procedures.
