Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

n Job Summary:n
n The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care, diagnostics, and support for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies, ensuring optimal treatment and management under medical guidance.n

n Responsibilities:n

• n Deliver respiratory therapy services following established departmental policies and procedures.n
• n Assist with intubation, set up and manage ventilators, and oversee respiratory support devices.n
• n Collect relevant patient data, including testing results and consultation inputs, to evaluate individual needs.n
• n Develop rapport with patients and caregivers to promote understanding and cooperation in care plans.n
• n Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory conditions and treatments in clear, accessible language.n
• n Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate and improve patient care outcomes.n

n Qualifications:n

• n Hold a valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.n
• n Possess at least 1 year of recent RRT experience, with ICU and ventilator expertise.n
• n Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and work as part of a team.n
• n Be willing to float across adult ICU, intermediate care, and other relevant units.n
• n Hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.n
