Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

n Job Summary:n
n Provides skilled physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, focusing on implementing treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function across various clinical settings.n

n Responsibilities:n

• n Deliver therapy treatments aligned with the physical therapist’s plan of care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.n
• n Review clinical records and case histories to inform treatment approaches.n
• n Document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.n
• n Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, activities, and equipment to promote independence.n
• n Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure appropriate medical equipment and discharge plans are established.n
• n Assist in home assessments and provide therapy services at various community and off-site locations, including remote areas.n

n Qualifications:n

• n Hold an associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy assistant program.n
• n Licensed and current as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.n
• n Maintain current CPR (BLS) certification.n
• n Possess a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent.n
• n Demonstrate clinical competency within 3 months of hire, with ongoing training every three years.n
• n Preferably have inpatient and outpatient clinical experience with knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and treatment planning.n
