Job Summary:
Assist patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist by providing skilled rehabilitative treatments and interventions. Support patient progress and ensure documentation complies with regulatory and clinical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based treatment plans including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device use.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Document all interventions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately within electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status, barriers to progress, and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and ongoing training sessions.
- Support and supervise students and assist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies per clinical requirements.
Qualifications: - Hold a valid active PTA license in the state of practice.
- Possess at least 1 year of PTA experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency with documenting treatments and clinical documentation systems.
- Show strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Be compliant with APTA standards, state practice acts, and ethics.
- New graduates with Level II experience considered.
