Therapist Occupational Therapy Assistant

n Job Summary:n
n Assist in providing occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting, supporting recovery and functional independence. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver individualized treatments and improve patient outcomes.n

n Responsibilities:n

• n Implement prescribed occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of the occupational therapist.n
• n Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.n
• n Document patient care activities and progress in Meditech EMR system.n
• n Educate patients and family members on therapeutic exercises and adaptive strategies.n
• n Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, including general acute care DME equipment.n
• n Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.n

n Qualifications:n

• n Minimum 6 months of recent acute care hospital OT experience.n
• n Active Kansas occupational therapy assistant licensure.n
• n Current BLS certification.n
• n Ability to work independently with high accountability and good communication skills.n
• n Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic environment of acute care.n
• n Preferably experienced in trauma and comprehensive stroke care.n
