Occupational Therapy Assistant
The Occupational Therapy Assistant supports licensed occupational therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients. This role involves implementing therapy plans and assisting patients with their recovery process to improve daily living and functional skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions.
- Implement treatment plans and activities based on patient needs.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout therapy sessions.
- Ensure all clinical activities adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and home programs.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Possess valid state licensure or registration as required.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have previous experience working in a therapy or rehabilitation setting.
- Be adaptable and attentive to patient needs during sessions.
