Occupational Therapy Assistant

Provide Occupational Therapy Assistance to patients in acute care settings with occasional inpatient rehabilitation, ensuring clinical support and patient engagement. Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote patient recovery and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Administer therapeutic activities and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any significant changes.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and mobility exercises.
• Participate in weekend coverage as required to ensure continuous patient support.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proven experience in acute care and inpatient rehab settings.
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities.
• CPR certification preferred.
