Occupational Therapy Assistant

The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides support to licensed occupational therapists by implementing therapy plans and assisting patients in their rehabilitation process. This role ensures patients receive quality care to promote functional independence and recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans.
  • Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
  • Prepare therapy areas and equipment to ensure a safe and effective treatment environment.
  • Educate patients and family members on therapeutic exercises and activities.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) credential and current license.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills for documentation and patient management.
  • Prior experience working in therapy or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
