Leading a team of underwriters, the full-time salaried Texas Licensed Underwriting Manager will manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with mortgage guidelines, and drive team performance in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Manage underwriters to ensure adherence to mortgage loan underwriting guidelines and provide necessary training Oversee day-to-day tasks and conduct underwriting reviews to minimize company risk while resolving loan approval issues Lead hiring, coaching, and performance management efforts to develop an efficient and effective underwriting team Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in Residential Mortgage Loan Underwriting or a related field High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Previous leadership experience is required Advanced knowledge of mortgage loan products, regulatory compliance, and underwriting guidelines Intermediate to advanced experience with mortgage banking technology and systems, including Encompass (LOS)
