To support a growing mortgage lending operation, the fully remote Texas Licensed Senior Mortgage Underwriter will manage a full spectrum of underwriting decisions, including FHA, VA, Conforming, USDA, and Bond/Grant programs, while serving as a subject matter expert for loan officers and processors. Key responsibilities Handle underwriting decisions for various loan programs, ensuring compliance and quality standards Act as a resource for structuring complex loan files, providing guidance to loan officers and processors Maintain minimal turn times while upholding zero-defect quality in all underwriting processes Required qualifications Active FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) with a valid CHUMS ID Active VA Supervised Automatic Review (SAR) with a valid VA SAR ID Lender Appraisal Processing Program (LAPP) certification 5+ years of recent mortgage underwriting experience Proficiency in AUS systems (DU/LPA)
