To support a leading healthcare company, the remote Texas Licensed Pharmacist will conduct clinical reviews for prior authorization of specialty medications, collaborating with healthcare professionals and managing inbound inquiries during a contract role with a schedule from 7 am to 10 pm CST. Key responsibilities Collaborates with Technicians and Nurses to process authorization requests and collect necessary clinical data Coordinates timely communication of case decisions to physicians, health plans, and patients Handles inbound phone calls and escalations from physicians or patients regarding prior authorization Required qualifications Active pharmacist license in Texas in good standing Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with specialty medications or clinical review of prior authorization requests Experience using MS Office and other Windows-based applications Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining professional knowledge of drug and disease states
