This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.Panelmatic is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Testing Technician, Switchgear to join our Houston, TX team. This role is responsible for performing functional, electrical, and quality testing of low- and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies prior to shipment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and interpreting schematics, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.Job Duties:Perform functional and electrical testing of switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and control panels in accordance with engineering specifications, UL standards, and customer requirementsConduct point-to-point wiring checks, insulation resistance (megger) testing, and high-potential (hipot) testingVerify proper operation of protective relays, breakers, control circuits, and instrumentationExecute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with internal teams and customers when requiredIdentify, document, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepanciesInterpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawingsEnsure all testing activities comply with safety standards (NFPA 70E, OSHA) and company proceduresMaintain accurate test reports, documentation, and quality recordsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and quality control
