Testing Coordinator / Release Management Specialist

Position: Testing Coordinator / Release Management Specialist Location: Jefferson City, MO (Remote with max 25% Onsite work) Duration: Long Term Contract Client: State of Missouri – Department of Social Services (DSS)

Role Overview: The Testing Coordinator / Release Specialist will support the testing and release management activities for the MEDES Program under Project II. The role involves hands-on coordination of test execution, managing integration testing, supporting defect triage, and ensuring successful deployments of DDI (new development) and M&O (maintenance) releases across multiple benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities for MEDES Project II.
  • Manage test execution for DDI and M&O releases across Medicaid and non-Medicaid systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams, vendors, and business analysts to ensure smooth integration testing.
  • Support defect tracking, triaging, and resolution activities across multiple teams.
  • Document test plans, test cases, and testing reports aligned with DSS standards.
  • Manage release schedules, ensuring proper deployment readiness and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Provide detailed reports on test status, issues, and progress to leads and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with vendors and the ESB team to ensure seamless data integration and interoperability.
  • Identify risks in testing and release activities and support mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience coordinating testing and managing DDI and M&O releases.
  • 5+ years experience in software testing and release management.
  • Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience working with systems involving eligibility determination, case management, or healthcare benefit programs.
  • Understanding of Cúram, Informatica, and ESB integrations preferred.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including resource allocation, risk tracking, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders (state agencies, healthcare providers, vendors, and integrators).
  • Public sector or healthcare IT project experience is highly desirable.
