Test Technician- PCBAJohnson Service Group is looking for a Test Technician for our Contract Manufacturing client in San Jose. The Test Technician supports failure analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of PCBAs. This role focuses on identifying defects at the component level and ensuring high-quality rework and testing.Responsibilities:Perform failure analysis on PCBAs from ICT and functional testingTroubleshoot and identify root cause to the component level (not a board-swap role)Provide rework instructions and support to techniciansDocument failure details and corrective actions in databaseInspect reworked boards to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 standardsCommunicate defect trends to Engineering teamsSupport PCBA and system-level testing as neededQualifications:AA or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field (or equivalent experience)3-5 years of hands-on PCBA debug and test experienceStrong component-level troubleshooting skillsExperience with analog/digital circuits and standard lab equipment (DMM, oscilloscope)Familiarity with high-speed, data center, or industrial electronics preferredExperience with test software or scripting (Python, LabVIEW, etc.) is a plusProficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong problem-solving and root cause analysisDetail-oriented with solid documentation skillsAbility to read schematics and technical documentsEffective communication and teamworkSelf-motivated and able to manage multiple tasksContract to Hire up to $40/hr.
