Test Equipment Eng III/IVWe believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for developing automated test equipment (ate) in a dod / aerospace line of business. applicants should have a strong background in electrical engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying special test equipment (ate / ste). commercial instrumentation interfaces, as well as data acquisition and control, communications, and custom cabling and fixtures will be the prime applications to be designed and automated in our ate systems.

high awareness and competency in the cohesion required between the multi-disciplinary functions (electrical / mechanical / software) required of a formal ate team are required. designing with modularity and commonality are top requirements of the position.responsibilities:design and release to manufacturing operations and/or engineering custom ate test stations, interface adaptors, cabling and fixtures for testing ccas, modules, and systemsproduce technical presentation packages for design reviewscollaborate with ate software developers to ensure hardware / software cohesion throughout the integration and debug phasesproduce test procedures and process documents to support ate deploymentproduce schematics and interface diagrams for releasedesign rack-mounted systems with modularity, commonality, and expandability as primary driversintegrate ate with units under testrelease drawings into configuration managementderive, flow, and trace requirements from source to test reportanalyze equipment specifications and select appropriate instruments and supplierssupport contract manufacturers with questions and integrationinterface with product development teams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functional requirementsinterface with production teams to satisfy manufacturing requirementsqualifications:b.s. in electrical engineering with 5+ years' experience developing formal ate within the dod / aerospace industryhigh competency in utilizing state-of-the-art conventional and pxi test instrumentation, as well as mass interconnect devices, while maintaining a modular, flexible and scalable ate design approachhigh experience in the design of control and measurement systems for testing analog, digital, power, and communications circuitryexperience in failure analysis and problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting skillsexperience with configuration management tools and peer review processesability to effectively communicate and engage all levels of the organization verbally and in writingexperience programming with c# programming is a plusexperience as an ipt lead or cam, with evms exposure is a plusan existing u.s.
